Burnout is a common and normal occurrence in our busy lives. Whether it takes the form of fatigue, stress, or even depression, burnout happens when we become overwhelmed by the demands of our jobs or our personal obligations.
When this happens, many people simply try to push through it, soldiering on as if nothing is wrong.
But this strategy rarely works.
In fact, trying to suppress burnout can actually make it worse, draining us of energy and motivation over time.
What we really need when we are feeling burntout is simply to take a step back and relax for a while.
This can be as simple as taking a long walk outdoors or treating ourselves to a cup of tea and some quiet time with a book or the newspaper.
Whatever our preferred method may be, taking a moment to stop and recharge is important in terms of allowing the natural flow of energy in our bodies to re-establish itself and begin working for us again.
So when you feel like you're ready to give up on everything – don't! Simply let go and allow yourself to be refreshed and rejuvenated.
